Epernay Community Halloween Celebrations – October 2017

Epernay Community Haloween CelebrationsEpernay Civic Association encourages families to participate in the annual Halloween festivities. Here’s some useful information about the various neighborhood activities.

Trick-orTreat, Beggar’s Night

The official Trick-or-Treat, Beggar’s night for the Epernay subdivision is always the same as Columbus. More details regarding date/time will be forthcoming. Families are encouraged to participate in the festivities by attending to the door bell to distribute individually pre-wrapped treats to neighborhood children who are trick-or-treating and/or by being the trick-ot-treator and visiting door-to-door to receive such treats from your neighbors. Either way, we encourage those participating to follow simple steps to remain safe while enjoying the evening.

Halloween Costume Contest:

If you live in one of the 114 units in the Epernay subdivision, you may participate in the contest and win any of the contest prizes. You must be 18 years old to enter the contest, or have a parent/guardian enter the contest for you. You do not need to be a Epernay Civic Association member to participate, as the contest prizes are not funded by the association, you just need to be an Epernay resident.

Submit your photo that captures your spooky Halloween costume, along with a caption as to what you like most about Halloween, to info@epernaycivicassociation.org and put “Halloween Costume Contest” in the subject line.

We’ll begin accepting entries October 15. Deadline to enter the contest will be October 30. Winners will be announced the next day.

We’ll have two categories: Best Executed Halloween Costume and Best Halloween Costume Concept. The prizes are yet to be determined as they will likely be donations from local restaurants and businesses.
